We ended on top and what an impact we made. We had and still have our haters and doubters but we leave an unmatched legacy as Cheer Quake closes. Coach Dee and Coach Leroy are moving out of the area because of a great employment opportunity. So let's make sure that's clear before all the false rumors start.

Cheer Quake did not close because of low membership, lack of money or other reasons. Its simply that God opened a door for Coach Dee and Coach Leroy for another journey. We leave a great leagcy behind as we were always different. Cheer Quake was an organization about God, family, education, ethics, morals and faith. Although many may not have seen us as successful we definately were not a failure.

Never in the history of teams have there been a great set of people who did not harbor egos or conceit. Their victories were always accepted graciously with humility and their defeat with dignity. Although many success were not instantaneous, for the few who stuck it through proved to be very special young women and men that will make a positive impact on the future. We were and still are a family as every parent was another parent to every child. They were sisters and brothers at heart who always had each others back. They were Christains without being told to pray before every performance. From the 5 year olds to the adults, they proved to be God's children and did right by His words. They were the second family to Coach Dee and Coach Leroy who never sought an empire but raised an extended family to see them off to new adventures and futures. The members of Cheer Quake are not like other teams - everyone knew every one and cared for each with love and respect. They were Ms Dee's babies.

We were not always first and we definately were not always last. Coach Dee was always honest with us - if we sucked we sucked! Who else would give back a national championship trophy when a team did not deserve it? Coach Dee did and she was no joke! She demanded respect and she gave it at all times. She insisted that we see as much of the world as she and our families could offer - and we went to so many places to open our knowledge to the world. She listened to our intermost feelings and emotions and led us to a path of glory within ourselves. She instill in us faith and the knowledge to be strong women and men and to always trust God. She made us learn from our mistakes, failures and triumphs without making us feel unworthty. She and Coach Leroy always fought for us like a pair of lions and boy oh boy did many hear them roar!

What a legacy we leave after almost 10 years together for some of us. There was nothing like our family. Coach Dee especially felt that many teams and companies never respected who we were. But near the end it did not matter because we knew who we were and what we were all about. Our numbers were never big but our hearts made up for our small amount of members. Cheer Quake existed for 5 strong years and it survived when most thought it would not. Ms Dee always said "every team has their day..." and we certainly had more than most.

A new chapter will come from some of the members and from Coach Dee and Coach Leroy. What we accomplished will not die or be erased from memory. That's how strong we were...that's how strong we are. It's just time for a new journey that we hope many will share in a positive light. Cheer Quake may say good bye for now but watch around every corner as we will not be far.
